We are seeking a Human Resources and Talent Leader who will create and nurture an Attraction Culture that draws the industry’s best, brightest and most innovative creators, builders, and finishers by focusing our efforts on practices that promote Learning, Responsibility, Recognition and Joy.
This position facilitates and models development of good working relationships with other members of the agency. Keeps current with employee concerns and finds a ways to affect changes that make sense for the company and for staff. Serves as an effective business partner. Develops HR plans based on Conill’s mission/vision. Understands and communicates how HR actions impact the agency. Identifies with the creative process and the intricacies of the Agency/Client relationship. Provides performance/cultural feedback to the CEO. Encourages an open discussion and facilitates conflict resolution. Communicates views openly honestly and directly. Serves as an employee champion. Listens/responds to employee concerns. Maintains balance between individual and company needs. Ensures policies/procedures are followed. Uncovers and eliminates discriminatory or unfair practices. Acts as employee advocate in management discussions. Designs HR policies/systems to support and drive Conill’s mission and our “idea driven” culture. Demonstrates a high level of skill in recruiting, developing, coaching and retaining key ideas people. Provides guidance on HR matters. Keeps abreast of new developments in the HR field. Understands legal issues. Ensure HR administrative matters are handled efficiently and promptly defines and provides resources that help employees meet job requirements.
Executive Talent Director
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
Provide President, CEO, and Leadership team members with an awareness of specific people issues and broader trends.
Provide guidance and counsel to Leadership and Leadership Partners regarding employee engagement, growth, and discipline.
Work with corporate and external legal counsel to proactively manage risk associated with performance management and termination.
Manage all immigration cases and ensure that all work authorizations are current.
Oversee all recruitment/hiring for positions agency-wide, using internal and external resources.
Personally recruit for Director and Leadership level roles in all departments.
Partner with the CFO and Finance department to ensure that hiring and headcount remain within appropriate levels in maximizing fee.
Provide guidance and direction related to all freelance onboarding/offboarding.
Ensure that staffing follows all agency and network financial protocols.
Oversee and approve the preparation of semi-monthly freelance and overtime payroll.
Personally address senior and mid-level performance issues; provide guidance and oversight on lower-level performance management agency-wide.
Schedule and oversee annual performance review process.
Provide context and guidance for agency affinity groups
Provide counsel to Office Services/Leadership on the people implications of physical moves within the agency.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the Talent team.
Negotiated contracts with Talent service providers (LinkedIn, recruiters) on behalf of the West Coast.
Work collaboratively with Executive Talent Director on broader initiatives impacting the network region; share best practices and opportunities for partnership.
10 years of HR related experience or HR generalist experience with heavy emphasis on HR policies, procedures, and systems. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

Supervises the Talent Team.
Reports to the Executive Talent Director and President of Conill.
Position is fast-paced and deadline driven. Working late evenings & weekends may sometime be required.
Required to make independent agency impacting decisions
A high level of integrity, confidentiality & attention to detail is required. Failing to exercise good decision making and providing current/accurate application of Federal, State & Company policies will impact employees, departments and the agency overall.
Long hours are often necessary and there can be a limited amount of travel associated with this position. Extended work hours, including evenings and/or weekend work, may be required. Conill is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment. There may be times when lifting up to 25lbs is required.
