Media Analytics Assistant

Position summary

The Media Analytics Assistant is responsible for assisting in data collection, tracking “web traffic, generating tags and providing recommendations based on data analysis. This position will be responsible for helping prepare reports from data across all media platforms with a special emphasis in digital and web metrics. This candidate must strive to ensure data used is accurate and robust. The position will require assisting in the development of data models that help optimize current processes, work proactively and prioritize resources to deliver on the task.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Responsibilities

  • Support media analysts
  • Track digital media and web traffic – delivering insights on KPIs
  • Deliverables will include weekly/monthly reports
  • Automate Excel reports to feed live dashboard/ pre-set templates (Tableau)
  • Create tagging specifications and manage analytics tagging codes for website and mobile initiatives
  • Assist in decreasing manual processes time by implementing Excel automation for data modeling
  • Present insights internally/ to client and provide recommendation on how to improve media and web performance
  • Be passionate about the field while staying relevant current with industry trends
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in Excel – – Advanced Excel (V-loop up, Pivot tables, index match, formulas, graphs)
  • 1+ year experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Qlik View, SAS
  • Understanding of web analytic systems (Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, CrazyEgg, Coremetrics) and online advertising systems (DART/Doubleclick, Atlas, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, strategic and influencing skills, with the ability to be detailed and deadline-oriented while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to influence and build relationships quickly and to work collaboratively across a number of departments and teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in the most engaging and “story-telling” manner
  • Ability to manage projects from conception to completion and to lead disparate groups of people to work effectively as a team
  • Ability to contribute to increasing the level of innovation in data, analytics and optimization of communication programs at the agency

Work environment

Long hours are often necessary; evenings and/or weekend work may be required.  And there can be a limited amount of travel associated with this position.  Conill is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.  There may be times when lifting up to 25lbs is required.
