Media Analyst

The Media Analyst is responsible for data collection, reporting and analysis of media performance. This position will be responsible for preparing reports from data across all media platforms with a special emphasis in digital metrics. This candidate must strive to ensure data used is accurate and robust. The position will require assisting in the development of data models that help optimize current processes.

Reports to

Integrated Analytics Architect and accountable to Director Analytics & iMedia Innovation.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required


  • Track digital media performance delivering insights on KPIs
  • Deliverables will include weekly/monthly reports
  • Automate Excel reports to feed live dashboard (Tableau)
  • Assist in decreasing manual processes time by implementing Excel automation for data modeling
  • Assist in the development of forecasting models across for all clients
  • Present insights internally and provide recommendation on how to improve media performance and increase leads for clients
  • Explore the impact that desktop, mobile, video, search and other media strategies have on web traffic and provide recommendation to involved teams
  • Stay current with client and industry trends

Will work closely with digital communication strategists, media activation, account management and social/web teams.

  • 1+ year experience in Excel – – Advanced Excel (V-loop up, Pivot tables, index match, formulas, graphs)
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, strategic and influencing skills, with the ability to be detailed and deadline-oriented while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to influence and build relationships quickly and to work collaboratively across a number of departments and teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in the most engaging and “story-telling” manner
  • Ability to manage projects from conception to completion and to lead disparate groups of people to work effectively as a team
  • Ability to contribute to increasing the level of innovation in data, analytics and optimization of communication programs at the agency
  • While desired the following skills are not required:
    • 1+ year experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Qlik View, SAS
    • Understanding of web analytic systems (Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, Coremetrics) and online advertising systems (AdWords, DART/Doubleclick, Atlas, etc). Familiarity with Search, Social Media & Mobile data analysis

Work environment

Long hours are often necessary; evenings and/or weekend work may be required.  And there can be a limited amount of travel associated with this position.  Conill is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment.  There may be times when lifting up to 25lbs is required.
