Associate Director Integrated Analytics

Manages a team of analytics professionals that provide marketing performance analysis for client engagements. Responsible for aggregating, analyzing and providing insights that help monitor, optimize and deliver data driven media recommendations. Analytics will focus primarily on digital (Display, Video, Mobile, Social, Search) platforms but may include all other forms of media. Ensures data used in the analytics process is accurate and robust and thinks strategically, identifies issues that need resolving and optimizing, works proactively and prioritizes resources to deliver on the task. He/she embraces the Conill spirit of One Team, One Dream, Nothing is Impossible.

Responsibilities

·       Understands client’s business goals and requirements, designs and develops analytic approaches tailored to their needs

·       Work with internal and external resources to develop client tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids and business case analysis to support programs, creative and recommended solutions. Work closely with agency team in making specific and actionable client recommendations and sell in additional client engagements

·       Drive overall strategies and processes in statistical modeling, segmentation, value analysis, as well as reporting for website, online advertising, social media, mobile, email campaigns and e-commerce activity

·       Develop data strategies (e.g. what we should capture, how we should capture it, and the triggers/decision making as a result, etc.)

·       Contribute to innovation for the agency and help to establish the agency in the marketplace as being “accomplished” and cutting-edge in the area of analytics

·       Assist in building out the agency’s services in the area of social media and mobile analytics, customer database analytics and overall analytics development. Stay current with client and industry developments and benchmarks

·       Develops an optimization mechanism within the agency to improve engagement and performance

·       Write clear and concise presentations for client summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications in straight-forward and enlightening way for clients

·       Use analysis and insights that help shape the digital campaign analytics, across full spectrum of digital campaigns (Display, Video, Mobile, Social, Search), using digital measurement techniques, tools and metrics across the digital media portfolio. Must strive to ensure data used in the analytics tools are accurate and robust, and think strategically

·       Hold calls with sales representatives to analyze performance and review optimization plans

·       Work with calculations and other quantitative data

·       Develop and maintain time-lines for all projects

·       Balance, prioritize and properly assign work associated with multiple, concurrent projects

·       Serve as a resource for specialists and analysts for advice, counsel and mentorship

·       Along with Director Media Insights, identify and develop promising personnel; as well as evaluate and communicate analytics staff development needs in terms of rotation and promotion to ensure high quality personnel

·       All other duties as assigned

Will work closely with Digital Communication Specialists, Architects and Director Digital Innovation as well as Analytic Specialists and Analysts

Requirements

Education

MBA strongly preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years experience delivering analysis and identifying trends within a digital marketing environment
Experience in Visual Basic, SQL
Experience in Tableau, Cognos, Microstrategy or similar reporting tool
Experience in Programming languages: Java, .NET
Experience in web analytic tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends or Coremetrics) and online advertising systems (AdWords, DART/Doubleclick, Atlas, etc)
3+ plus years experience managing a team
Excellent analytical, numerical, strategic and influencing skills, with the ability to be detailed & deadline-oriented while managing multiple projects
Ability to influence and build relationships quickly and to work collaboratively across a number of departments and teams
Ability to manage projects from conception to completion and to lead disparate groups of people to work effectively as a team
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in the most engaging and “story-telling” manner
Familiarity with Search, Social Media & Mobile data analysis
Able to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks
Proficient with MS Office and other industry software tools; expertise with Excel
Able to apply critical thinking and analysis in business writing
 

 

Work environment

Long hours are often necessary; evenings and/or weekend work may be required. And there can be a limited amount of travel associated with this position. Conill is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment. There may be times when lifting up to 25lbs is required.
